Why are you working with the Citizens Advice Bureau?
Our partnership with Doncaster Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB)
means we can offer a dedicated advice service to our customers. We
are providing this service because our aim is to support all our
customers in managing their lives, homes and money.
Can I see the CAB adviser?
We can refer you to the CAB adviser if we feel you would benefit
from specialist information and advice about:
• Debt
• Benefits and what you may be entitled
to
• Increasing your income
• Budgeting and managing your money
• Housing matters
• Paying rent arrears
• A court summons or eviction notice
Please ask if you feel you need to see the CAB adviser.
Will the CAB adviser tell you what we talk
about?
No. The CAB advice worker provides independent and strictly
confidential advice. The adviser will only share information with
us if you give permission for this to happen.
Where is the CAB adviser based?
The adviser will see clients at various locations throughout the
borough to ensure that as many people as possible can use the
service.
Do I have to make an appointment?
Yes. This is to ensure you are seen on time and do not have to
queue. We will help you make the appointment with the CAB
adviser.
What should I take to my appointment?
Please take all the paperwork you have that relates to the issue
you want advice about. It will be very hard for the adviser
to help you straight away if they do not have the relevant
paperwork. For example, if you are in debt, take all your
statements and any letters about the debt that you have
received.
If you would like to see the CAB adviser, please ask at
any St. Leger
Homes office and we will arrange an appointment for
you.
